Welcome

Aboriginal people are the original inhabitants and Traditional Custodians of the land where Port Kembla and its harbour are located. With European settlement came the port and steelworks, evolving it into the industrial hub of the Illawarra. This unique suburb is now undergoing a transformation and process of reinvention.

Over the next few years, the NSW Government – through the Port Kembla Community Investment Fund (PKCIF) – will be enabling significant investment in the future of Port Kembla. This website will assist in keeping the community informed about the different projects that will be part of the PKCIF Funded projects.
